11.30-1.30 Workshop

Join Natalie Quatermass for a family-friendly, creative workshop, where everyone can have the chance to show their love and solidarity for Palestine.

Craft activities, storytelling and creative writing for everyone! A chance to come together and celebrate Palestinian culture.

All children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

All are invited to the regular call for a ceasefire after the workshop and to have their artwork displayed at the screening of Where the Olive Trees Weep later that evening.

Natalie is a theatre director and community artist based in East Leeds. With over 15 years experience, Natalie embeds herself in spaces where creativity meets social justice, and where art meets activism.

In 2015 / 2016 Natalie had the honour of working with The Freedom Theatre in Jenin Refugee Camp, West Bank, Palestine. Here, she worked with a team of Palestinian actors to establish regular youth theatre groups. She learnt the power of creation under occupation and the significance of culture as a form of resistance.
