A profound expression of creative resistance made by a Palestinian-Israeli collective struggling against mass expulsion during the Israeli occupation of Masafer Yatta.
Co-created by a Palestinian-Israeli collective of four young activists, No Other Land is one of the most profound expressions of creative resistance made under a brutal military occupation.
Basel Adra is a young Palestinian activist from Masafer Yatta, a village in the occupied West Bank subjected to mass expulsion by the Israeli occupation since his childhood. Yuval, an Israeli journalist and fellow activist joins his struggle. Their complex bond is haunted by extreme inequality but together they work to find a path towards equality and justice.
Beginning in 2019 and filming all the way until December 2023, the documentary bears witness to the long-running violence against Masafar Yatta by both the Israeli army and settlers in what is described in the film’s press notes as “the largest single act of forced transfer ever carried out in the occupied West Bank”.
