100 Years of Suffrage – Screening of “Shireen of al-Walaja”

We are delighted to work with Aire Place Studios in Leeds, to celebrate the end of their event, entitled ‘100 Years of Suffrage’ on Sunday 5 August, 15:00-18:00 at Aire Place Studios.

There will be a pedal powered screening of ‘Shireen of al-Walaja’. Shireen is a powerhouse of everything it means to be a woman. As her Palestinian village shrinks, Shireen’s strength and courage grows. Please note this film features state violence.

Also included in the event will be a film kindly donated from Leeds Animation Workshop called ‘Waste Watchers’. There will also be talks from Daniel Francis, writer of ‘You Matter’, a programme about male suicide, and a chance to see our exhibitions.

Bring your cycling legs and help us power the films!

This is a free event, vegan food will be available.
