Acclaimed textile artist, Deborah Mullins returned to Leeds for this special event, which included:
an introductory workshop to Palestinian stitching techniques;
a display of Palestinian textile artefacts and Palestinian-inspired embroidery;
a presentation on a Halifax community cross-stitch project linked with a group in a Palestinian refugee camp in Bethlehem;
tea and refreshments.
Palestinian goods were on sale, the Cost was: £10 (£5 students / low income).
The workshop was followed by the film ‘Stitching Palestine’.
There were also Savoury Middle Eastern snacks between the workshop and the film.
