We warmed up for our 2019 Film Festival with a cracking comedy night. Following their appearance at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe, we were delighted to present the hilarious stand-up comedy line up headlined by Gavin Webster with Isma Almas, Gary Sansome, Seymour Mace and introduced by MC Daphna Baran.

Proudly part of another Leeds Scalarama Programme, this was a evening of contemporary short films on Palestinian Life, Art and Music at the Belgrave Music Hall & Canteen . Thanks to the Belgrave for welcoming us warmly.

While many young people dream of leaving Gaza, Mohamed Jabaly, 24, wants to help. He aspires to make films, despite the lack of water and electricity, and closed borders that are part of “normal” everyday life under the seven-year Israeli blockade of Gaza.
